WANTED: Lead Guitar and Bass!

Hey all! You probably know by now that Chaz and Brad have moved across the country to begin their new adventures in Maryland and Rhode Island, respectively (if not, please see their posts they made HERE and HERE back in December).

Therefore, with Spring and Summer quickly approaching, Immortal Sÿnn is beginning the search for a new lead guitarist and bass player to start doing shows again in the near future!

If interested, please fill out the form over on our CONTACT PAGE.

Requirements for this gig are as follows:

  1. You must be AT LEAST 21 years of age. Anything under that prevents us from playing many venues throughout the country and limits our time slots. The preferred range is 25 - 35, but we are willing to expand if the fit is right.

  2. You must have professional, stage-ready instruments and equipment. Practice amps and cheap guitars that easily fall out of tune are NOT acceptable. At least 3 years of continuous live performances and experience with a wide range of venues is preferable.

  3. You must maintain a professional attitude at rehearsal and at shows (e.g. showing up on time, knowing your parts, practicing, changing strings regularly, maintaining your instrument and equipment, etc…).

  4. You must have your own, reliable vehicle - not a bicycle, not public transit, not your roommate dropping you off places - an actual car/truck/SUV.

  5. We usually try to tour at least 2-3 consecutive weeks per year in the summer. Sometimes we will do extended weekends in neighboring states in any given month. You must be WILLING and ABLE to tour.

  6. You must not have any drug or alcohol problems. Having a couple drinks at practice/shows or smoking a bowl after practice is not an issue. Being high as a kite during a gig or at practice, being piss drunk during a gig or at practice, or being under the influence of any other substances that inhibit your focus and performance are UNACCEPTABLE.

  7. You must have a basic to intermediate knowledge of music theory (scales, key signatures, circle of fifths, how to write harmonies, etc.). Saying things like, “I don’t know what a G chord is, I just play”, is UNACCEPTABLE.

  8. We have a multitude of songs that require backup vocal harmonies, so being able to do this is a necessity.

  9. Finally, you must live within 60 miles of our practice space in Denver, and be able to get to rehearsals and gigs on time.

If you are interested in auditioning, we will send you a few songs to learn and have prepared for your audition. We use Guitar Pro tabs, but if you do not have that software, we can send a PDF file.

IMPORTANT: If you do not actually learn the songs by the day of your audition, only know portions, or say nonsense like, "ya, I looked at it", you will be wasting your time and ours, and you will not hear from us again.

A few songs in our catalogue utilize a 7-string guitar, so it would be preferable to have access to one, but not required at the moment.

We look forward to working with you and having you join the world of Sÿnners!
